Position: Full-Time Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Physician
Location: Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine, Ohio
Start Date: July/August 2026
Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive outpatient and inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care, including routine exams, diagnostic testing, and management of complex cases.
  • Perform gynecological surgeries such as hysterectomies, laparoscopic procedures, and other minimally invasive surgeries.
  • Attend and manage labor and deliveries, with an average of approximately one birth per day (approximately 360 annually).
  • Lead and assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric surgical procedures.
  • Participate in a 1:4 call rotation, ensuring prompt response, with hospital reporting required within 30 minutes when on call.
  • Travel between multiple clinic locations as needed to provide accessible patient care.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nursing staff, and ancillary personnel to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Utilize Meditech Expanse EMR system for documentation, order entry, and patient management.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and patient-centered healthcare environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Must possess or be eligible for Ohio medical licensure and board certification in OB/GYN.
  • Candidates should be TRULY board eligible and actively working toward certification if within one year of graduation.
  • Board certification must be achieved within the specified timeframe post-employment.
  • Lapsed Board Certification candidates are not accepted.
  • Open to recent graduates who are truly board eligible and pursuing certification.
  • Must report to the hospital within 30 minutes when on call.
