Job Overview Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital – Summerville, SC Full time; Monday – Friday with every 4th weekend rotation 50‑bed hospital currently growing to 100 beds
Position Details Sole dietitian to cover medical‑surgical units, a mother‑/baby unit, a stepdown unit, and an ICU. New graduates are welcome. Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Key Responsibilities
Provide medical nutrition therapy: nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and patient‑specific interventions.
Follow Company Diet Manual and Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual.
Comply with federal, state, and accrediting agency standards, HIPAA, and patient rights.
Train, mentor, and support patient services staff and interns.
Participate in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility‑wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.
Qualifications
Registered Dietitian credential by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Licensed by the State dietetics licensing/credentialing board, where required.
One (1) year of hospital experience preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming.
