Pay: $21–$22 per hour
(pay based on experience and MAP Certification).
The NEEDS Center is a non‑profit company dedicated to supporting adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. We are currently hiring

Direct Support Professionals who will help adults building independence and improving their quality of life.
No experience is necessary. New employees receive a paid 7‑day orientation, plus training on CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, and Medication Administration Program (MAP), plus program‑specific training at the work site.
Full‑time and part‑time positions are available at our residential homes in the following locations:
Orleans – primarily second shift, overnights, and/or weekends at a group residence home.
Sandwich – primarily second shift, overnights, and/or weekends at a group residence home.
Responsibilities
Assist and support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living skills, personal care, hygiene, meal prep, and medication.
Support individuals in making independent decisions and participating in valued community roles.
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
Monitor health signs and observe for behavioral changes.
Observe and record data for programs established in Individual and Behavior Support Plans.
Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes supporting individuals at community events.
Administer medications or support individuals in self‑medication (if you have MAP certification).
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required (Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not necessary).
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Experience with behavior management preferred (but not necessary).
Ability and willingness to provide hands‑on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
Empathy and passion for supporting individuals with autism.
Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and remain alert during shifts.
