The salary range for this position is $40.14 - $54.19 hourly. Placement within the range depends on relevant experience and internal equity. For union positions, placement follows the collective bargaining agreement.

Description The Physical Therapist reflects NM’s mission, vision, and values, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and regulatory standards.

A licensed physical therapist who complies with the Code of Ethics and State of Illinois standards.

The position includes direct patient care, teaching, committee participation and departmental process improvement.

Serves as a role model for therapists and clinical interns in professional, clinical, communication, education and leadership activities.

Responsibilities

Provide accurate information and timely updates; address questions promptly or refer to appropriate resources.

Use effective service‑recovery skills to resolve problems.

Maintain primary responsibility for patient plan of care, collaborating with PT/PTA staff.

Show teamwork by assisting coworkers across departments; communicate effectively and respectfully.

Use organizational and unit resources efficiently.

Manage work schedule efficiently, completing tasks on time.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Adapt treatment plans creatively to special circumstances, supported by team feedback and documentation.

Apply appropriate evaluation and treatment modalities; perform re‑evaluations per department guidelines.

Assume full responsibility for patient management from initial contact to discharge, documenting patient progress in the EMR.

Adhere to department policy on evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

Complete daily notes reflecting patient response and clinical status, meeting documentation requirements for reimbursement.

Provide educational materials tailored to patient understanding and motivation.

Participate in committees, department processes and special projects per clinical expertise.

Develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare team members and participate in internal/external marketing.

Create a culture of respectful communication, listening, and acknowledging contributions.

Accept constructive feedback and make timely changes.

Complete non‑patient care responsibilities within established timelines (coverage notes, PTO/schedule change requests, bonus pay).

Contribute to educational efforts (in‑services, journal clubs, orientations) as expected.

Actively participate in student clinical or observation programs as a mentor or host.

Maintain productivity standards per department expectations.

Demonstrate willingness to flex schedule or assignment to meet patient care needs and staff meetings outside normal hours.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.

Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Illinois.

BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred

Masters or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy.
