Sr Patient Access Associate – Full‑time
Shift: First Shift – United States of America
Location: Nebraska Medical Center | Nebraska Medicine Omaha, NE
Schedule
Full‑time, 40 hr/wk
Wednesday – Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Mandatory Full‑time Training (first 3 weeks): Mon – Fri, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM – non‑negotiable
Position Overview – Key Responsibilities In‑person role with face‑to‑face and bedside patient contact, cross‑training/floating to other desks, escorting and wayfinding, obtaining patient demographics and insurance information, entering data into the EHR, pre‑registering patients over the phone, collecting point‑of‑service payments, obtaining regulatory forms. Check‑in for clinic and outpatient appointments, admit surgical and inpatient patients, register and receive patients in the ED. Work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment; meet productivity and quality metrics.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of two years customer service experience
High school education or equivalent
Proactive, self‑directed work style
Multi‑tasking and problem‑solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills, detail‑oriented
Ability to form and maintain working relationships within the organization
Typing 35 wpm with 95% accuracy
BLS certification within six months of hire/transfer; funded by department
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in health care, collections, registration, or revenue cycle
Associate’s degree in business, health care or related field
Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel
Fluency in Spanish (depending on position)
