Registered Behavior Technician - Midlothian, VA (Afternoon Schedule)
Step Ahead ABA is hiring part‑time Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to provide 1:1 ABA therapy in the home, community, and school settings. Flexible scheduling, ongoing support, and clear opportunities for advancement.
Base pay range $22.00/hr - $25.00/hr
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT – Part‑Time)

Training, non‑billable, travel rates vary per state (less than regular rate)
Set your own schedule by selecting availability slots; clients are matched to the same time slots for better scheduling and consistency
(must have noon or evening availability)

Responsibilities
Provide direct ABA therapy to children in their home, school, or community
Follow individualized treatment plans created by BCBAs
Collect data and document each session accurately
Communicate with your supervising BCBA and team regularly
Show professionalism and respect in every client interaction
Requirements
Active RBT certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Reliable transportation and punctuality, with strong communication skills
Comfortable working with children and families in home settings
Able to stay active and engaged with clients
Prior ABA experience required

Work Environment This is an in‑home position, which means you’ll be working directly in clients’ homes. Expectations include:
Respecting the family’s home and space
Leaving therapy materials on‑site as needed
Being physically active with clients, including sitting, playing, lifting, or running if required
Policies & Procedures All team members are expected to follow Step Ahead ABA’s professional standards and policies. Upon hire, you will review and sign an acknowledgment of our employee handbook, which outlines these expectations in detail.
