Unit Highlights: The CVICU is a 20 bed unit that cares for post-surgical open heart procedures, vascular and thoracic surgeries. We have 24/7 intensivist support within the department. Our typical ratio post surgical open heart and advanced devices are 1:1 until stabilized, otherwise, traditional 2:1 patient/RN ratio is the normal. We work closely with our CVOR, cathlab and PCU units to best provide care to our cardiovascular service line patients. We are a dynamic, multicultural team that enjoys working together and team work is key to our successes. We also partner with our Neuro ICU and Medical ICU within out campus.

Schedule: Full Time Nights, 3/12s 7p-7a rotating weekends and holidays

Job Description: Conduct comprehensive assessments to gather data on patients' physical, emotional, and social health status.

Develop and implement individualized care plans with specific goals and interventions based on assessment data.

Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.

Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary and documenting progress.

Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies to empower them in managing their health.
