The Manager of Infusion Pharmacy will manage infusion pharmacy operations, including personnel management at the designated location. Responsibilities include achievement of customer service, clinical initiative and financial objectives, regulatory compliance, adherence to professional practices and Kelsey‑Seybold Clinic and Kelsey Pharmacy policies and procedures, and management of all assigned personnel including pharmacists, technicians, support personnel and students. The manager will perform chemotherapy and sterile product admixture for the clinic departments, working closely with the physician team to monitor patients on therapy, specifically chemotherapy, and verifying orders per protocols. They will also manage pharmacy‑prepared infusion medications administered in the clinic, ensuring accurate and complete charge capture, inventory control and cost‑of‑service provision. The role requires accurate dispensing, counseling of prescriptions to customers, and distribution of clinic‑use pharmaceuticals. The manager will also oversee the complete scope of a registered pharmacist’s responsibilities, including accurate dispensing and patient counseling.
Required Qualifications
Graduate from a School of Pharmacy
Texas license Registered Pharmacist
Sterile products IV Certified
3+ years of management experience
2+ years of hospital/infusion pharmacy experience
Experience with aseptic techniques
Knowledge of regulations and requirements pertaining to sterile compounding and handling of hazardous drugs, including USP chapters 797 and 800
Proven ability to communicate with Pharmacy Department personnel to delegate duties and inform and train about policies and procedures
Proven ability to communicate with physicians and other allied health professionals regarding patient care issues
Proven ability to communicate with customers and in‑clinic patients to handle complaints, assist with questions, and recommend products/recommendations
Proven ability to operate computer terminal for infusion preparations
Proven ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and decimals to calculate infusion preparation dosages
Stress tolerance – ability to accurately prepare infusion medication within the required amount of time
Professional appearance

Basic Cardiac Life Support
Board Certification in Oncology or Sterile Products
EPIC experience
Previous KSC experience
Solid chemotherapy and oncology background
Ability to write reports (i.e., weekly/monthly) pertaining to accidents/injury, maintain logs and necessary infusion records

Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401(k) contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). You will find a far‑reaching choice of benefits and incentives for a full‑time employee. The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full‑time employment.
