Research Nurse I/II, Schubert Research Clinic Join to apply for the Research Nurse I/II role at Cincinnati Children’s .

About the position : This is a clinical, patient‑facing Research RN role. The RN must have a strong clinical background with excellent critical‑thinking skills. The RN will manage high‑acuity patients in the Schubert Research Clinic and administer investigational medications.

Schedule 8‑ or 10‑hour shifts, full time. Monday‑Thursday, 6:30 a.m.–6 p.m.; Friday, 6:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; every 2nd Saturday, 7:30 a.m.–1 p.m. (typically 2–3 Saturdays per year). Flexible schedule required. No remote shifts. No holidays.

Job Responsibilities

Patient/Participant Care – Recognizes and accesses systems and processes that affect the participant experience; acts as resource to team members; anticipates needs and responds to subtle changes; tailors caring practices; promotes safety.

Assessment – Assesses participants, clients, and families for normal parameters and deviations; develops and prioritizes care plans; demonstrates proficiency in technical skills; employs critical thinking to determine clinical relevance of study procedures.

Compliance – Maintains understanding of regulatory requirements; monitors safety and policies; minimizes risk; oversees enrollment and follow‑up; educates participants/families; ensures accurate informed consent.

Research – Guides others in procedures, data collection, and decision‑making; intervenes for research goals; ensures specimen collection and visit scheduling; collaborates with investigators; maintains records required by regulatory agencies.

Process Improvement – Develops, implements, and evaluates clinical research conduct; assists peers; participates in conferences and meetings; recommends improvements; motivates a positive work environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

2+ years of work experience in a related discipline.

Clinical license required; Current Ohio RN license.

Location & Employment Primary location: Location T. Full‑time, day shift. Regular employee status, FTE 1. Weekly hours 40.
