Position The Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining and enhancing the value of a well‑run property with emphasis on preventative upkeep, capital improvement, and maintenance repair.
You will provide excellent customer service to residents, take pride in the property, and help uphold the reputation of the property.
Site: The Landing College Station – a unique housing community of 546 units and 1,006 beds, recently renovated with Texas A&M University students in mind.
Schedule: Monday‑Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (nights or weekends may be required on occasion).
Compensation: $15.91 – $19.89 per hour plus bonus potential, based on current market data and individual qualifications.
Responsibilities & Duties
Monitor residential sites, building locations, clubhouse, amenities, and other common areas for curb appeal, cleanliness, and organization.
Review, assign, and follow up on open work orders to ensure completion and acceptance within company guidelines.
Demonstrate excellent customer service during interactions with residents, prospects, vendors, officials, and community members.
Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and observe work performed by independent contractors to ensure quality product and service.
Respond to after‑hour emergency issues.
Monitor maintenance trends and develop a preventative maintenance program to help minimize cost to owner.
Assist with organizing and maintaining inventory of company vehicles, machinery, and tools.
Support annual unit turnover and execute move-in/move-out procedures.
Requirements
One or more years of experience in building maintenance—student housing experience is a plus.
Experience with HVAC and appliance repair.
Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Working knowledge of pool service and maintenance (certified pool operator preferred).
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
Self‑motivated and excels in a team environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand and bend for up to 8 hours (with breaks) in hot, cold, and wet environments.
Ability to work independently.
Experience with Entrata software is preferred.
Availability for rotating on‑call duties as needed.
