This post is full‑time and permanent at Mountainhall Treatment Centre, Dumfries.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a robust response to the prevention and control of communicable diseases and environmental hazards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, consultants, public health professionals, Environmental Health Officers, Care Home settings and Infection Prevention and Control teams.
Develop and implement health protection policies, protocols and guidelines.
Deliver evidence‑based advice to patients, communities, healthcare teams and other professionals.
Coordinate service planning and operational response to outbreak events.
Qualifications and Experience
Registered Nurse with significant post‑registration experience.
Healthcare discipline experience, ideally in infection control, infectious diseases or public health.
Excellent communication skills and capability to work independently or as part of a diverse team.
Commitment to core working hours Monday‑Friday 9 am‑5 pm, with flexibility for reactive situations.
