Job Summary
Supports District schools and principals in fostering an optimal educational environment. Performs journeyman level major repairs and routine maintenance at all district facilities—including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and locks. Executes construction projects and installations of major equipment as well as building renovation.
Responsibilities Performs quality journeyman level work in every task performed; diagnoses and repairs electronic equipment such as motors, electric heat strips, relays, timers, and switches; maintains and repairs special systems (fire, security, intercom).
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Apprenticeship or training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or locksmithing.
EPA refrigerant certification or ability to obtain.
Basic knowledge of central plant systems (chillers, pumps, boilers, towers, controls).
Ability to work various shifts if needed.
Physical Demands Requires standing, walking, using hands, climbing, bending, stooping, and lifting in excess of 50 lbs. Must handle outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Work Environment Indoor warehouse activities and outdoor driving; moderate noise level.
Compensation & Scheduling Hourly position, 8 hours per day, 12‑month term, schedule and hourly rate as per district policy.
