THERAPIST (LCSW, MFT, CMHC) – The Heritage Community
The Heritage Community is a co‑ed, residential treatment program for adolescents ages 13–18. We offer two specialized academies—Elevate Academy and Spark Academy. Spark Academy focuses on neurodiversity, addressing trauma associated with high‑functioning autism to foster self‑regulation and competency. We are seeking a dynamic therapist for Spark Academy who proactively seeks the best therapeutic tools through a trauma lens. The incumbent will innovate and expand effective treatments to help students achieve long‑term success. Full‑time and part‑time positions are available. The Heritage Community was founded in 1984, located in Provo, UT, on a 19‑acre campus. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to high‑integrity standards of care. Exempt. Full‑time (or part‑time as coordinated). Work schedule will be coordinated to fit your availability while fulfilling caseload responsibilities. Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as primary therapist for assigned caseload of up to 8 students (full‑time). Provide intense assessment and specific treatment planning in collaboration with parents, students, and the Treatment Team—owning Master Treatment Plans to outline goals and objectives. Deliver 1 hour of individual therapy and 1 hour of family therapy weekly per student; provide crisis intervention as needed. Plan and conduct group therapy twice weekly. Lead weekly Treatment Team meetings to coordinate therapeutic needs and goals for each student, ensuring plans are followed. Communicate with parents, guardians, and professionals in a timely, situation‑based manner; facilitate family involvement in treatment. Knowledge & Abilities
Practiced knowledge of complex trauma spectrum, familiar with clinical theories and applications for anxiety, high‑functioning autism, depression, rigid thinking, bipolar disorder, reactive attachment disorder, substance abuse, adoption, etc. Management and teaching skills for leading Treatment Team meetings. Excellence in flexibility and adaptability to handle “curve balls.” Good computer skills, with ability to learn and use internal technical tools. Learning mindset, always seeking improvement and professional growth. Qualifications
Completed master’s degree in social work, marriage & family therapy, mental health counseling, or related field. Completed Utah license (LCSW, CSW, CMHC, ACMHC, MFT, AMFT, etc.). Previous therapy experience with adolescent population and families highly desired. Proficiency and fluency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English. Unique Perks
