Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care was founded in 2006 after we realized that most patients waiting in the Emergency Room for treatment are not there for life‑threatening emergencies, yet still need care that is not available in most pediatric offices. Overview:
Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care is looking to add a Medical Assistant to our growing team. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys working with kids. Our MA jobs allow for flexible schedules as well as education and training opportunities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program, or Certified Medical Assistant with relevant work experience required
Must pass criminal background check
American Heart Association BLS certification required before start date
Enjoys working with children

Benefits
Salary: $16 – $18 per hour, depending on experience
Overtime pay available
Free in‑house medical care for employee and dependent children
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Work with team members to provide excellent medical care to patients
Comfort sick or injured children and their nervous parents
Triage children and gather relevant medical history
Administer medications as directed by a provider
Perform point‑of‑care testing as directed
Assist providers during exams and procedures
Perform X‑ray positioning as directed
Document visits in EHR
Schedule
12, 10, and 8‑hour shifts available
Rotating weekends
Clinic hours: Mon–Fri 9:00 am–8:30 pm; Sat–Sun 9:00 am–5:00 pm
Opportunity to travel to other clinics as needed
