Location: Materials Mgt, Purchasing and Copy Center. Status: Relief 0, Works as needed per Relief Work Agreement. Shift: Days, 8 hour schedule, warehouse operates from 5:30a – 5:30p 7 days a week. SALARY RANGE: 16.57 – 24.86 HOURLY

General Summary The Supply Chain Warehouse Technician is responsible to receive, stock, pick, pack, and ship medical/surgical supplies and equipment to the appropriate customers within the organization on time. Responsibilities include inspecting shipments for conformity with purchase orders, pick requests, handling discrepancies, and reporting damages. All inbound and outbound packages and vendor deliveries will be documented in the supply chain Material Management information system (MMIS).

Responsibilities

Responsible for receipt, inspection, and recording of deliveries. Unloading inbound shipments and staging per protocol, validating shipping quantity at the item level, and escalating identified issues by working with the procurement team to solve discrepancies. Placing items for storage in the Warehouse, plus distribution and delivery of resources, supplies, and equipment. Preparing packages for shipping, labeling them, and loading them onto trucks, using FedEx Ship Manager to send out shipping to Vendors.

Pick orders and prepare for shipment per pick ticket, utilizing picking software to build orders at or above department standard productivity and ensuring the accuracy of the shipment and associated shipping documents. Staff are held accountable for the accuracy of orders. Accurately label boxes to identify and dispose of leftover packing materials, such as pallets and cardboard. Scan all items to avoid errors. Build pallets with orders and position them in the correct loading dock.

Monitors inventory for expirations or loss. Utilizes proper rotation, organization, identification, and documentation techniques. Rotates products and retrieves recalled, expired, and contaminated products—stocks and restocks items in their proper location.

Utilizes all point‑of‑use systems to manage inventory appropriately. Restocks inventory manually or with MHE. Escalates inventory concerns, inaccurate inventory locations, or potential for errors. Participates in cycle counting and inventory analysis activities upon leadership assignment.

Maintain inventory control records and assist with inventory counts using the ERP system. Alert management of out‑of‑stock or low‑stock‑level items.

Partners with department leaders, supply chain operations leaders, and/or the Procurement team to facilitate product evaluations/ trials, conversions, and substitutions.

Operating warehouse MHE, such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks. If assigned, approved powered lift equipment training will be provided and documented.

Communicating with customers and staff, answering phone calls and emails, interacting with customers, and handling questions or complaints.

Always maintain your work area in a clean and organized fashion by removing cardboard from shelves and sweeping the aisle. Every member has an assigned aisle that must be kept clean and organized.

As directed, may be responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering specimens, mail, supplies, and equipment as needed. Transports may contain biohazard items, tissue, and Protected Health Information (PHI). Handle all specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently, ensuring specimens are stored in the proper cooler with correct identification. Handheld scanners are used to maintain a recorded chain of custody for all deliveries.

Required to handle and distribute non‑controlled medication solutions and required to work in areas where patient‑specific medications are stored. Supply Chain staff are expected and authorized to transport locked and secured medications.

Responds to urgent dispatch requests based on business and customer needs.

Professionally interacts with customers, providing excellent customer service. Relays any customer service problems to the attention of the Supervisor/manager.

May assist as needed to include unloading, sorting, breaking down inbound shipments, staging materials, and picking orders for hospital/clinic needs using the ERP system. Efficiently operating in an electronic inventory management system, receiving, counting, and decrementing inventories in accordance with department standard operating procedures (SOP). Recall management, inventory monitoring for expirations or loss, cycle counting, and inventory analysis activities escalating issues, concerns, or questions.

Must be able to manage and restock point‑of‑use inventory systems (Pyxis).

Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Credential(s): None Required

Experience: Required: No experience necessary. Preferred: Six months or more of Health Care Supply Chain/LEAN/Six Sigma, Military, Warehouse, or other Inventory Management experience.

Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience

Education: Certificate Program in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Healthcare.

Credential(s): Six Sigma Lean Green Belt Certified
