General Duties
Patient evaluation and interpretation of findings, including gathering necessary information and setting goals according to patient input.
Implementation of treatment plans, with appropriate modifications, teaching patients and families occupational therapy skills and techniques.
Documentation of services provided using approved terminology and forms, completing within required time frames, accurately documenting charges, and consistently reporting evaluation results.
Education and training for patients, family members, students, and staff, and assistance with student supervision and community education.
Communication and coordination of goals and treatment plans, participating in team conferences and meetings as required.
Experience and Education Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an occupational therapist.
Licenses and Certifications
Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in Louisiana through the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
