Description The registered Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of ultrasound principles. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply non‑ionizing, high‑frequency ultrasonic waves to patients for ultrasound diagnosis. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission and values of Providence Health & Services.
Required Qualifications
Coursework/Training: Completion of an education program that meets ARDMS prerequisite requirements for RDMS examination.
Upon hire: National Registered Technologist – Sonography, or
Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in assisting with the following OB procedures: chorionic villus sampling (CVS), Percutaneous Umbilical Blood Sampling (PUBS), and amniocentesis.
Experience with electronic medical databases, like Epic.

The successful candidate’s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
