Turquoise Ridge – Underground Network & Communications Supervisor

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Underground Electrical/Networks Supervisor at our Turquoise Ridge operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of all underground electrical equipment; supervising electrical crews and contractors working in the electrical department’s area of responsibility; and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
Provide supervision for the electrical maintenance workforce in the Underground Division
Carry out construction and electrical maintenance plans in a safe, productive work environment
Perform all network and communication maintenance duties required in the mine and on surface; equipment includes, but not limited to, fiber optic network, wireless network, Cisco switches, radio and radio controls
Administer company policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Three (3) years experience with underground network and communications preferred
Formal education in network and/or communications preferred
Strong knowledge/skills in Network & Communications repair, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of complex underground equipment preferred
Willingness to learn and apply new skills to repair all underground mobile mining equipment required
Strong dedication to safety and courageous leadership required
Demonstrated knowledge of SAP/EAM preferred
Proven safe work history required
Eight (8) years’ experience working in an underground mining environment required
Ability to work effectively with all departments in a team environment required
Excellent communication skill required
Knowledge of conveyor systems, ventilation systems, pumping systems, and communication systems preferred; high and low voltage power distribution required
Strong computer skills required
Ability to perform all essential functions of this position required
The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.
