Monday - Friday (2-3 evenings a week till 7:30pm and some weekends)
Compensation:
$15.00-$17.00 (pending experience)
The Fitness & Sports Performance Program Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating and facilitating patient fitness and training needs. This position assists and develops fitness programs, coordinates fitness and sports performance contracts, and is responsible for people and financial management as well as achievement of performance goals.

Personal Training Coordination and Client Engagement: Meets and contacts discharge patients to discuss fitness program opportunities facilitated by therapists.
Fitness Services Set-up: Provides fitness services to set up programs for independent exercise, evidence-based and in conjunction with Physical Therapist where warranted.
Fitness Assessments: Conducts fitness assessments for personal training clients to develop evidence-based fitness programs for training clients and maintains updates to exercise modules.
Personal Training Arrangement: Arranges personal training for discharged clients and athletes and follows up on individual training and group sports medical services for healthy individuals.
Outreach Development: Develops outreach activities in conjunction with therapists and Athletic Trainers.
Medical Exercise Groups: Responsible for development and implementation of medically specific exercise groups; e.g. diabetic management.
Client Management: Actively manages client base for training and fitness clients including scheduling, re-scheduling, follow ups and reassessments.
Revenue Tracking: Tracks revenue for clinic in-services and participates in goal setting process for clinics.
Program Promotion: Assists in promotion, tracking, and implementation of other direct revenue programs such as active care in conjunction with Center Manager/Physical Therapist.
Business Growth: Works in conjunction with other members of the team to develop and market programs aimed at growth of fitness and sports performance business.
Staff Licensing: Ensures all professional fitness staff are appropriately licensed; maintains licensure and licensure requirements.
Staff Hiring: Responsible for hiring of fitness and sports performance staff and coordinating contracts for services as needed such as massage therapy.
Staff Training: Trains newly hired fitness staff on system and training principles and ensures evidence-based treatment and quality are consistent.
Schedule Management: Manages schedules and PTO coverage of fitness staff.
Content Development: Responsible for development of content for training and education as well as evidence-based exercise modules.
Metrics Tracking: Responsible for tracking revenue and visits and other metrics as warranted for fitness staff.
Performance Reviews: Conducts performance reviews and assists with disciplinary action as needed with management and Human Resources.
Compliance: Provides accountability at the facility regarding compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Business Opportunities: Identifies new business opportunities and referral sources.
Expense Management: Monitors and manages expenses incurred related to supplies, equipment, payroll, temporary/contract staffing and takes appropriate action to ensure expenditures are within budget.
Documentation: Ensures all wellness activity is being appropriately documented and maintained in each client’s record and is done in compliance with professional, regulatory, and Company standards.
Quality Assurance: Participates in and completes all quality assurance and outcomes documentation as requested.
Customer Service: Establishes and achieves customer service standards, maintains positive employee and management relationships, and achieves financial goals for assigned locations.
Required Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of principles and practices of a Fitness and Sports Performance Program.
High degree of initiative; good judgment and discretion; decision making ability; good problem solving skills.
Strong leadership skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
PC skills to include word processing, spreadsheet, and data entry.
Preferred & Required Credentials
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited college or university in Kinesiology, Physical Education or Exercise Science preferred; or an equivalent combination of education/certification and experience.
Personal training certification (ex. ACSM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, CSCS, etc.) preferred
Minimum of two years administrative experience in a health care setting preferred.
CPR Certification required
