Gulf Winds International is seeking Local Owner Operators for their Charleston, SC location. Gulf Winds provides dependable freight volumes across container drayage, transloading, and domestic transportation. As a CDL-A Owner Operator with Gulf Winds, you’ll enjoy consistent work while staying close to home, ensuring reliable routes and predictable home time.
Compensation
Excellent Weekly Pay: Up to $4,000 gross
Drivers take home 100% of Fuel Surcharge!
Bonuses: safety and performance.
Additional pay for Hazmat and overweight.
Settlement paid weekly; direct deposit available.

Home daily with one 2‑day run per week.
Routes: local and regional, out and back from Charleston.
Level of touch: 75% drop and pick/hook.
Equipment Requirements
Truck must have double or triple axle and must pass DOT inspection. No year, make or model restrictions if the other criteria are met.
Qualifications
Must have a valid CDL A License.
Minimum 21 years of age.
Minimum 1‑year verifiable tractor trailer driving experience in the last 10 years.
TWIC Required.
HazMat not required but adds additional opportunities.
No more than three moving violations within the last thirty‑six months.
No more than two preventable accidents within the last twenty‑four months.
Must be able to pass an FMCSA pre‑hire drug screen and have no prior FMCSA positive drug and/or alcohol testing or refusals within the last 10 years.
Must be able to pass a previous employer and criminal background check. No misdemeanors in the last five years or felony convictions in the last seven years.
Must live within 60 miles of Charleston, SC.
