Base pay range $38.00/yr - $45.00/yr
Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician. The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems. Our ideal candidate is self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals. This is an opportunity for a long term position and to join a growing company.
Responsibilities
Read blueprints or technical diagrams.
Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.
Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers.
Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code.
Follow policies, procedures, safety rules, and federal and state laws.
Complete simple and/or complex critical electrical tie‑ins and outages.
Be able to inspect and replace faulty wires, electrical systems, or components to determine condition and identify repairs needed.
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
Complete all daily reports, work orders and timesheets using service iPad.
Requirements And Skills
Journeyman's Electrical Current License – Required
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Minimum of one (6+) years’ relevant work experience in a heavy commercial setting (Strongly Recommended)
Experience as a service tech or commercial electrical service is preferred
Strong customer presentation and communication skills is preferred
Working knowledge of electrical systems, machines, and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Ability to read and comprehend complicated blueprints, drawings, schematics
Must be familiar with the National Electric Codes, electrical theory, and be comfortable working with high voltage three phase circuits, generators, transformers, switch gear
Experience with, and comprehensive knowledge of a facility lock‑out / tag‑out program. (Compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 control of hazardous energy)
OSHA 10 and 30 certifications (preferred)
Outstanding effective interpersonal skills and the ability to function as a quality team member in a demanding service environment
Have a current valid driver’s license and pass a background check of driving record
Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug test
Exceptional time management, accountability, and prioritization skills
Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals
Ability to be organized, problem solve, and be solution oriented
Ability to support a fast paced, demanding work schedule; could include late evenings and/or weekends
