Treasury Management Sales Officer (TMSO) The Treasury Management Sales Officer (TMSO) plays a critical role in driving growth and profitability of the bank by focusing on closing new business opportunities and deepening relationships with existing clients. They focus on building and maintaining strong client relationships with businesses in the $2mm-$20mm space within their assigned market.

TMSOs should be able to articulate cash cycle details, demonstrate an understanding of Treasury Management principles, and ensure prospects and customers are aware of fraud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with Business Bankers in their assigned teams.

Schedule and/or attend calls with prospects and existing customers to generate new Treasury Management and deposit business.

Achieve or exceed specific production goals.

Manage and successfully close new business with referrals from Bankers.

Propose appropriate financial services through a consultative sales approach.

Proactively identify deepening opportunities with existing customers.

Prepare and complete sales presentations, including any negotiated pricing.

Set expectations with customers about the onboarding experience, including any requirements and testing.

Prepare and execute implementation documentation to establish new services.

Coordinate with Onboarding Team to ensure a smooth enrollment process; manage issues if they arise.

Perform timely follow‑up concerning newly implemented treasury management services to ensure client satisfaction and understanding of the service mechanics.

Collaborate with Treasury Management Client Services team to deliver exceptional service and ensure a seamless banking experience for all clients.

Assist Business Bankers with understanding treasury management product risk and ensuring Capital One Bank's policies are applied throughout the sales cycle.

Maintain and update the bank's SRM system regarding sales calls, pipelines, closed sales, etc. to enable the generation of monthly activity reports and track sales and revenue growth by market segment.

Skills

Articulate cash cycle details and demonstrate an advanced understanding of Treasury Management principles.

Display advanced knowledge of fraud defensive strategies and industry trends.

Analyze client cash flow patterns and operational needs, offering tailored solutions.

Excellent communication skills–both written and verbal.

Strong client‑facing skills to build trust and long‑term relationships.

Develop creative solutions for complex treasury challenges.

Work effectively with external and internal partners (sales support, onboarding, and servicing).

Basic Qualifications

At least 3 years of Treasury Management Sales experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.

5+ years of Treasury Management Sales experience.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Salaries are for candidates hired in those locations and reflect the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of posting. Part‑time roles will be prorated based on agreed hours.

Sales Territory: $115,200 – $131,500 for Treas Mgmt Sales Specialist 2 (CIP)

McLean, VA: $126,700 – $144,600

Richmond, VA: $115,200 – $131,500

Edison, NJ: $138,300 – $157,800

New York, NY: $138,300 – $157,800

This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus (es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
