Bedford Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an energetic, creative, and compassionate
Recreation Director
to lead and elevate our Activities Department. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on residents’ quality of life while being part of a supportive leadership team under new ownership. Position Overview
The Recreation Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing a comprehensive activities program that meets the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of our residents. The ideal candidate brings creativity, strong leadership skills, and a passion for resident engagement. Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and evaluate a well-rounded recreation and activities program Plan and lead individual and group activities, events, and outings Supervise and support activities staff and volunteers Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident care plans Maintain accurate documentation and activity calendars Foster a warm, engaging, and inclusive environment for residents Qualifications
Previous experience in recreation/activities in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting preferred Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Creative, energetic, and resident-focused approach Knowledge of regulatory requirements for long-term care activities programs Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends What We Offer
