Responsibilities As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market you will process each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. You will accurately handle cash, credit/debit payments, and change, and assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints. Following all front‑end procedures, you will also help stock shelves, face and dust products, maintain knowledge of weekly ad items, guide customers to product locations, keep the checkout area clean and orderly, and communicate regularly with the front‑end manager and Head Cashier. Other duties include executing related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1–2 years of recent cashiering experience.
Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
Proficient with front‑end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
Dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays.
Good communication skills; able to take direction, constructive criticism and participate in a team environment.
Capable of performing repetitive activities, multi‑tasking, prioritizing, and staying organized.
Must be able to lift or carry product horizontally or vertically up to 30 lbs., from 36” to 24”, for a distance up to 3 feet for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
Must use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally requiring a force up to 35 lbs., for a distance up to 4 feet for up to 50 hours.
Strong attention to detail; proficiency with numbers; ability to read, write and count.
Pay range $17.55 - $21.88 / hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications.
