FT Center Store Lead
Food Lion – Center Store Lead (Grocery) position located at 880 S Military Ave., Virginia Beach, VA.
Primary Purpose: Assist the Center Store Manager in delivering quality customer service within the Center Store (Grocery) Department. Responsibilities include maintaining standards, maximizing sales through excellent service, and minimizing shrink.
Responsibilities
Maintain an enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate service.
Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
Ensure store associates maintain a clean and neat appearance.
Assist the Manager in training, scheduling, and maintaining a qualified stock crew.
Ensure achievement of productivity goals of the stock crew.
Stock product in accordance with policies and guidelines.
Place only saleable merchandise on shelves.
Maintain shelf allocations as indicated by item tags.
Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning, and display of merchandise follows policies.
Use company tools such as ACIS (average cost inventory system) and CAO (ordering).
Adhere to company guidelines, policies, and standard practice.
Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
Observe and correct unsafe conditions that could lead to accidents.
Report all accidents in accordance with established procedures.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Wear Food Lion uniform, complete with name badge, while maintaining a neat appearance following the dress code.
Complete Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packets, and Training Aid courses.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to learn multiple tasks and the technical requirements of the job.
Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
Meet minimum age requirements for specific job functions.
Meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Physical Requirements
Use computers and communication systems to perform job functions.
Perform repetitive hand and arm motions.
Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 lbs. continuously, 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. on occasion.
Pull or push up to 75 lbs. on occasion.
Push or pull up to 2000 lbs. using a pallet jack.
Stand 100% of the time, frequently walking short distances.
Handle substances associated with cleaning and packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, house plants/flowers, and household cleaners.
Handle currency and operate equipment such as cash registers, lottery machines (where applicable), scanners, computers, and calculators.
Frequent reaching and grasping at waist level; occasionally above shoulder or below waist level.
Meet established volume activity standards for the position.
Tolerate working in extreme hot or cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.
Have sufficient visual ability to check ID cards, checks, invoices, and other written documents.
