The New England School of Communications at Husson University is seeking a part‑time instructor to teach the graphic/visual design course,
Animation & Motion Design (GV 377) , at the Bangor campus for the Fall 2025 semester (August 25, 2025 – December 12, 2025).
Course overview:
This 3‑credit course introduces students to industry‑standard software for animation and motion graphics in 2D and 3D across web, mobile, gaming, and video. Topics covered include compositing, keyframes, timelines, looping, motion tweening, basic scripting, and visual effects.
Class time: Tuesdays & Thursdays 3:30 pm–4:45 pm. Scheduling can be adjusted to fit the instructor’s availability.
Typical Duties
Collaborate with the NESCom Academic Director and senior G/V Design Faculty to deliver course content.
Adapt a standardized curriculum to fit personal teaching style while maintaining course objectives.
Participate in instructor training and receive supportive supervision to ensure instructional success.
Typical Qualifications
A master’s degree in Animation, Motion Design, Graphic Design, Visual Design, or a related field is required.
Alternatively, seven or more years of industry and leadership experience in relevant fields can substitute for a master’s degree.
Ph.D. or other terminal degree is preferred.
College‑level teaching experience is preferred.
Supplemental Information The physical demands include regular interaction, sitting, writing, reaching, occasional standing, walking, talking or hearing, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
