The Division of Purchasing (DOP) is currently filling their Contract Administration Supervisor position on their leadership team. The selected candidate will join a team of passionate and skilled professionals that serves as the central purchasing authority for state agencies. In addition to challenging and rewarding work, DOP emphasizes professional development and strongly encourages team members to participate with our national organization, the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) and the local chapter of the National Institute for Public Procurement (NIGP) in Idaho, the Idaho Public Purchasing Association (IPPA). We serve Idaho by promoting responsible government through expert customer support.
Team Leadership
Supervises a team of Contract Administrators, including hiring, onboarding, and evaluating staff;
Actively works to develop team members; and
Functions as a member of the DOP Leadership Team along with the DOP Deputy Administrator and Administrator, participating in the development of DOP’s strategic plan.
Contract Administration Supervisor
Work collaboratively with the DOP Procurement Team;
Oversee agency and statewide contracts including renewing and amending contracts;
Perform and provide guidance on contract management including cure notices;
Review and approve cooperative contracts for agencies and statewide contracting;
Oversee and conduct supplier reviews for statewide contractor;
Advises departments of statutory, rule and policy requirements for purchasing.
Minimum Qualifications
Some Knowledge of management practices;
Considerable knowledge of governmental purchasing procedures and methods.
Experience
Developing procedures and monitoring a budget;
Providing liaison with customer/provider groups;
Interpreting federal or state regulations;
Preparing and evaluating written specifications that include value analysis, life‑cycle, and weighted value.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience supervising/providing guidance to staff.
