Position Overview The Lead Doorperson, Hospitality oversees operations in the absence of location management while ensuring that increased revenue, managed expenses, and customer satisfaction are maximized by maintaining the highest level of service thresholds and initiatives that are aligned with the expectations of our client.

Principal Job Duties

Greet all visitors & tenants, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, develop rapport with all.

Assist visitors with shopping bags in and out of their vehicles, in lobbies, lanes, and in the parking office.

Transport guests' luggage from the hotel entrance area to the designated bell area.

Escort or provide guests with directions inside to the reception desk area.

Relay accurate directions to guests/visitors on inquiries regarding local destinations.

Maintain accurate knowledge of local attractions and activities to recommend for guest inquiries.

Secure taxis/transportation for guests/visitors.

Monitor and direct traffic activity of taxis, Ubers, limousines, and hotel/restaurant guests’ vehicles, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow.

Support location management with the financial, operational, safety and service‑related success at their hotel.

Attend daily stand‑up meetings and resume meetings scheduled by client.

Ensure LAZ internal stand‑up meetings (Pre‑Shifts or “Huddles”) are held each shift.

Ensure staff adheres to rules of conduct, policies and procedures.

Embrace, resolve, and see through to resolution any customer service or client concerns.

Communicate any challenges to Location Management to address.

Additional duties as assigned.

Experience

Supervisory experience is preferred.

Hotel and Valet experience is a plus.

Manual transmission is preferred, but not required.

Strong customer service experience.

Valid driver's license required.

Skills

Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.

Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.

Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view.

Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.

Demonstrate the ability to seek improvement.

Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.

Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.

Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
