Within our organization, the Traffic department oversees the use of our assets. Specifically, we use data analytics to manage the slots used on our vessels to our full utilization. Other responsibilities include forecasting, coordination of vessel slot use among Sales and equipment teams, exception handling for schedule recovery, and provide direction within the organization within the recovery planning process.

Job Accountabilities / Tasks

Notify and update customer service on vessel schedule adjustments, such as port omissions, cut-off changes or adjustments in port connections. Perform batch route update to active shipments.

Provide Booking forecasts (CBF's) to the vessel planners for all vessels by port pair. Based on vessel situation, secure additional space and/or coordinate with Sales to implement cargo cuts if required and work with Operations team to update final load lists.

Coordinate with internal teams to utilize any unused space each week on each vessel to reposition empty units to achieve best use of vessel asset.

Respond to all ad-hoc inquiries that are required by TFC covering all physical aspects of services. This would include items such as service coverage, cargo acceptability, shipment exception, cargo delay, etc.

Reconcile slot use on vessel basis and verification of financial statements with partner lines on their vessels. Enter slot cost into online system for each vessel in order for Finance to process payments for our slot use.

Report on vessel utilization performance and forecasting to Commercial Management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Data Interpretation

Traffic / Logistics / Transportation experience

MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
