Mathematics Associate (Part-time) Instructor Pool 2025 - 2026
Build a pool of instructors for possible future part‑time assignments at all locations. The department chairperson or designee will review applications only if vacancies become available. Instructors may be assigned to any campus or authorized facility, and assignments may include days, evenings, or weekends.
Application deadline:
June 30, 2026 . Applications expire at that time. A new posting will appear on July 1, 2026, and those still interested will need to re‑apply.
Residency Requirement – MiraCosta College Board Policy 7800: Associate faculty employees must maintain a permanent residence in California within 200 road miles of their regularly assigned district worksite. Associate faculty with a fully online assignment must reside in California and may live beyond 200 miles without exception. Temporary residence outside the state or the 200‑mile limit may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis, not to exceed 12 consecutive months.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and teach assigned courses in an instructional field or discipline in accordance with approved course outlines, education code requirements, and faculty contract provisions.
Provide feedback and guidance to students and evaluate student performance.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Compensation Hourly rate: $ 89.79
to $ 105.04 , based on education.
