Salary At EUSSD, compensation is determined through a comprehensive approach that considers candidate qualifications, role responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational needs. Pay may vary by location; for this position, with potential eligibility for bonuses or commission depending on the role.
About The Role Perform tests and/or measurement tasks for the Test Site department. Test Site: testing of energetics, component to system level. Typically live ammunition, warheads, rockets, flares, fuel tanks and pressure vessels.
Core Responsibilities
Test Setup – Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment.
Perform Testing – Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data.
Data Processing – After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager.
Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown – Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies.
Other – Perform other duties as assigned.
Core Requirements
Under general supervision, can perform certain recurring work independently.
Regular interaction with clients.
Intermediate interpretation and analysis of test results.
Comprehensive knowledge of Energetic & Mechanical principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices.
Able to use all standard Energetic equipment; able to accurately capture necessary data; basic MS Office skills; able to understand AC/DC circuits.
Minimum Education And Experience
HS Diploma or GED; AA or AS OR trade school for Energetic testing certificate OR military Energetic training preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in testing.
Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
