For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $3,000 sign on bonus for
Patient Service Specialists (PSSs) . Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time PSR position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position.
What You’ll Do
Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.
Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and manage patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
Assist with check-in/check-out processes and coordinate referrals as needed.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to maintain a positive, patient-focused environment.
What We’re Looking For
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience in healthcare or patient services (Ophthalmology experience a plus).
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficiency with scheduling systems and basic computer skills.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
License/Certifications: N/A
Experience: Six months of medical office experience required.
Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.
