Overview Kadant Solutions Division is seeking a qualified candidate for a Regional Inside Sales Associate at its Auburn, Mass. location. The Regional Inside Sales Associate is responsible for working with customers, application engineers and regional directors to gain or maintain business, including gathering past business data. The role will prepare quotations, capital orders, and follow ups from customers in conjunction with the operations group.
Responsibilities
Work with Customers via phone calls and emails; external and internal
Generate quotes for all non‑capital items
Coordinating or entering orders
Maintaining visibility of sales orders as they flow through the process from order receipt through shipping
Processing delivery status notification for customers when requested
Communicating with Buyer/Planners when customers begin or stop ordering products of measurable levels that would affect inventory and supply
Work with customers to resolve any complaints
Assist Accounting in the investigation and completion of billing/invoice issues
Processing of returns and/or credits, obtaining the appropriate authorization and necessary back up information in a timely manner
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals and be covering for each other during absences and reviewing all activities in the quest for constant improvements of processes
Be cognizant of the importance of the position and clear in response to all of your customers
Back up for performing new item set ups for blades in Oracle (assigning attributes, pricing, BOM's, Routers, Org's etc.)
Work using the mindset of 80/20 and customer ranking
Support our mission, values (teamwork, integrity, dedication, respect, innovation, excellence) and customer message (mindshare, people, added value, digital transformation, user experience)
Export compliance is a plus
Qualifications Employment Standards
Successful candidates will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent of one to two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Success in this position requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and a strong desire to engage with and learn new technologies. Candidates must be customer focused, have excellent organization skills, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize the workload using the 80/20 mindset and customer rankings. The candidate will support our mission, values and customer message.
Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents, write business correspondence, and effectively present information and respond to questions from other groups, managers and customers
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, UOM conversions, and Metric conversions
Basic personal computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe
Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
Positive attitude and ability to work independently, as well as a strong team player
