About the Role - Event Sales Manager The Event Sales Manager is responsible for selling and servicing events. Primary sales efforts are in Banquet Food & Beverage and include menu planning, agenda setting and hotel meeting services. Duties also include contract review and facilitating communication before, during and post event with pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service. Solicits, through direct sales and marketing contacts, the most complex accounts, which exhibit potential for business.

The Event Sales Manager will also host hotel tours, maintain strong customer relationships, participate in and may lead event meetings and other staff meetings, and work as a team member with the sales and events staff.

Wage Information The salary range for this position is $61,800 to $86,600. This is the pay range for this position that Hyatt Regency La Jolla reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment

Refined verbal and written communication skills

A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred

Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, RFP process, and salesforce.com

Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training

Community involvement and/or professional association is highly regarded
