Job Overview Medical Director Services PC is looking to hire an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to service a skilled nursing facility in Medford, NJ. New graduates are welcome. Excellent salary will be offered, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Assuring delivery of quality care services to all patients in a respectful and professional manner.

Contributing to physician's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues, providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations, recommending options and courses of action, implementing physician directives.

Assessing patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.

Documenting patient care services by charting in patient and department records.

Performing therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations, suturing, managing wounds and infections.

Instructing and counseling patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information, providing counseling on emotional problems of daily living, promoting wellness and health maintenance.

Providing continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.

Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Protecting patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

Complying with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Developing health care team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.

Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

Health Promotion and Maintenance, Thoroughness, Clinical Skills, Informing Others, Medical Teamwork, Bedside Manner, Infection Control, Administering Medication, Pain Management, Self-Development

Must be Board Certified

Extensive training will be offered.

We will consider applicants that have Hospital setting experience.

About Us Medical Director Services was founded in 2016 when SNFs were shifting a focus on value while treating residents with a higher level of acuity. MDS PC emphasizes quality and customer service first and focuses on treating in place when possible and reducing unnecessary hospitalizations. MDS PC provides medical services in an SNF setting, understands effective medical care in an SNF, and is familiar with the survey process. We provide services in facilities with specialty units and appropriate medical personnel for residents on ventilation. We communicate with surrounding hospitals to ensure continuity of care and focus on reducing medication usage, particularly narcotics and psychotropic medications, while ensuring proper documentation to avoid citations.
