Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Beacon Specialized Living
Overview Beacon Specialized Living supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and autism to live independent lives.
Schedule & Compensation Flexible schedules with full‑time, part‑time, on‑call; 8‑ or 12.5‑hour shifts. Competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities
Provide hands‑on support with daily living skills, personal care, and goal setting.
Create a safe and positive environment where individuals feel supported and respected.
Assist with meal preparation, housekeeping, and keeping the home organized.
Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and community events.
Advocate for individuals and keep accurate documentation of services.
Administer medications as directed (training provided).
Support social engagement, recreation, and personal development.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license.
Compassionate and patient when supporting individuals with disabilities or mental health challenges.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
