Responsibilities The Surgical Technologist is responsible for the following:
Aseptic technique, setting up the required equipment, instrumentation and sterile supplies as needed for assigned cases.
Scrubbing and passing instruments and equipment during surgical procedures.
Pulling cases as needed, breaking down cases at the end of the procedure, and setting up the operating room and supplies needed for the day/following day’s schedule.
Being available for call on a scheduled basis as required by unit need.
Performing other duties as assigned.
This position may qualify for a sign‑on bonus.
Summary The Surgical Technologist demonstrates basic knowledge and skills in the scrub role, required to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department.
Education
Required: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program.
Preferred: Associate degree.
Experience
Preferred: 1 year.
Certifications
Required: AHA BLS, Surgical Technologist certification.
