PRN Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Responsibilities
Follow written POC program as given by supervising therapists, based on individual patient needs and physician approval, to obtain goals.
Communicate regularly with supervising therapists to obtain goals.
Provide appropriate clinical follow‑up by reporting unfavorable signs and symptoms to supervising therapists.
Participate in case coordination regularly with staff nurses and physicians and document appropriately in the medical record.
Use universal precautions and infection control to prevent cross contamination and transmission of disease with patients.
Facilitate patients’ ROM, strength coordination, use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, functional mobility, and safety issues related to patient’s ADL performance needs under the supervision of the OTR.
Qualifications & Skills
Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy with current license to practice occupational therapy.
Current Certification in BSL/CPR.
Home Health Experience.
Valid Texas Driver's License and Automobile Insurance.
Knowledge of WellSky EMR software is a plus.
