About The Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Trainee Machine Operator to join Wren Kitchens. This role is responsible for interpreting technical drawings and operating specialized machinery to produce high-quality production components. The ideal candidate will maintain high standards of quality, organization, and safety, while supporting production goals in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Learn to interpret detailed technical drawings to produce precision-finished production components of the highest standard.
Operate and assist in the safe control of a variety of production machinery including CNC drills, edge banders, and glue machines.
Complete daily departmental duties in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
Maintain exceptional levels of housekeeping and organization within the department to support a clean and safe work environment.
Provide guidance, training, and support to colleagues as directed by the area manager.
Consistently project a positive and professional image of the company and department.
Undertake additional warehouse and operational tasks as reasonably assigned by management or supervisory staff.
Follow all health and safety policies and procedures, particularly those related to the use of machinery and handling of production materials.
Use and care for all tools, materials, and equipment properly and in accordance with company guidelines.
Commit to continuous learning and development to enhance skills, safety awareness, and technical knowledge relevant to the role.
Work diligently to meet or exceed daily and weekly production targets set by the department.
Qualifications
Previous experience operating CNC or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production documentation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Comfortable working in an environment with heavy lifting.
Must follow strict health and safety guidelines.
Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn new skills and support continuous improvement initiatives.
