Job Description
Coordinates care with interdisciplinary teams, transplant teams, geneticists, genetic counselors and metabolic clinics when needed.
Works closely with laboratory to facilitate timely or expedited biochemistry results.
Supports medical insurance coverage verification for medical foods, formula, supplements, and medications required for management of inborn error of metabolism or other complex medical conditions.
Completes nutrition-focused physical assessments, reviews medical records, collects data via interviews, and evaluates anthropometric status.
Evaluates assessment data to identify nutrition risks, problems, malnutrition criteria, knowledge deficits, and high‑risk health behaviors.
