Job Responsibilities

Enter all patient data and complete admission consents with patient/family.

Verify insurance and maintain continued stay authorizations for Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial plans.

Coordinate scheduled admissions with Clinical Liaisons, doctors, and nursing staff, ensuring the completion of all pre‑admit paperwork.

Understand Rehab Hospital criteria and all referral sources, including doctors, community case managers, and social workers.

Provide tours of the facility at requested times.

Engage with primary contacts such as the CEO, nursing & therapy department heads, and Clinical Liaisons; discuss projections at daily admissions meetings.

Record and email all documentation and daily reports to the corporate office twice daily.

Maintain triage skills to manage workload in a busy environment.

Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent.

Experience in hospital insurance verification and authorization.

Knowledge of Medicare Part A is a plus.

Minimum of six months to one year of related experience.

Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Excellent time‑management, organizational, and prioritization skills.

Proficient computer skills.

Strong written and spoken communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues and others.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
