About The Role Louis Industries, a growing family‑owned manufacturer, is seeking a Kitting & Inventory Control Specialist to support our production and logistics operations. This role ensures weldment and assembly kits are accurately prepared, packaged, and staged while maintaining ERP accuracy, inventory integrity, and material flow throughout the facility.
What You’ll Do
Lead daily kitting activities; locate, verify, and package components for production.
Maintain an organized and efficient kitting area.
Verify part counts, labeling, and accuracy using ERP data and work orders.
Resolve shortages or discrepancies with Production, Welding, and Purchasing.
Document and package kits per internal and customer requirements.
Train and support team members on kitting procedures.
Perform cycle counts and reconcile physical vs. ERP inventory.
Maintain accurate part locations and traceability in ERP.
Assist with year‑end inventory and internal audit processes.
Material Handling
Support movement of materials across the facility, including receiving, staging, and loading shipments.
Supply production with materials and assist with outbound logistics as needed.
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in kitting, inventory control, shipping, or material handling preferred.
ERP experience (GSS or equivalent) strongly preferred.
Forklift certification required.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and forklift operation.
