Responsibilities As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will evaluate and treat patient populations for swallowing, speech‑language and therapy needs. Your key responsibilities include:
Perform and document initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition.
Design and implement a plan of care appropriate to problems identified, involving the patient and family.
Educate and counsel patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
Plan and assist with patient discharge from therapy services.
Supervise activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.
Support 24/7 availability to assist patients throughout every stage of recovery.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (required).
Licenses: Licensed Speech Therapist; current licensure with the Texas Board of Speech‑Language Pathology & Audiology.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.
Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and the capacity to function in a stressful environment while taking appropriate action.
