Cardiac Sonographer (Echo) – Echocardiography
Location: Mid Coast Hospital, Brunswick, ME.
Position: Full- or Part-Time. Day Shift, 40 hrs per week (Full Time).
Job Summary – The Cardiac Sonographer I performs basic echocardiograms under supervision, assists with patient preparation, maintains equipment, and records patient data.
Sign On Bonus – $15,000.00 for eligible candidates (prorated for part-time hires). Per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth employees and former employees separated less than 6 months are not eligible.
Responsibilities
Perform basic transthoracic echocardiograms under physician supervision.
Prepare patients and explain procedures.
Set up, operate, and maintain ultrasound equipment.
Record and file patient data accurately.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience as a Cardiac Sonographer.
License/Certifications: ARDMS or CCI certification required within one year of start date. BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of start date.
Experience: No experience required.
