Job Overview
Dental Assistant – San Benito Health Foundation Seeking a skillful, motivated, responsible full‑time Dental Assistant to join the San Benito Health Foundation (SBHF) Community Health Center’s team. Our center provides high‑quality medical, dental, and nutritional services to a multicultural county population. We offer a supportive, evidence‑based dentistry environment and a patient‑centered health home model. Responsibilities
Assist the dentist and hygienist in the direct provision of primary care dental services. Seating the patient, verifying identity, obtaining vitals, preparing the chair for the procedure, and obtaining x‑rays prescribed by the provider. First assist the provider during the procedure and clean up (sterilize). Prepare patients for oral examination and assist in providing treatment. Document all chair‑side assisting and treatment details in the Electronic Health Records System (EHR). Assist the hygienist and perform other duties as assigned, including cross‑training across departments to offer optimal service to our patient population. Qualifications
Successful completion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program. Current State of California X‑Ray License. Current CPR Certification. Basic computer skills. Current and valid California driver’s license. Bilingual/Spanish is a must. Compensation & Benefits
