Responsibilities
Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and referral sources within an assigned territory to promote hospice services.
Continuously conduct market assessments and develop a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary volume projections.
Employ marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections.
Build and monitor community, customer, payer, and patient perceptions of Bridge Hospice as a high‑quality provider of services.
Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of Bridge Hospice markets, including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor market positioning.
Assist customers in accessing community resources when services are not provided by Bridge/Gateway Hospice.
Provide leadership in strategic planning, identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs within the territory.
Adhere to the company attendance and reliability guidelines, an essential function of the job to ensure quality and consistent patient care.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
At least three years of experience in health care marketing management and/or home care operations preferred; at least one year experience in sales preferred.
Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
Knowledge of corporate business management.
Excellent communications, negotiation, and public relations skills.
Autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
Valid California Driver’s License and current auto insurance.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit occasionally for 1–3 hours.
Ability to frequently stand for 3–6 hours.
Ability to occasionally drive or operate foot control for 1–3 hours.
Ability to walk occasionally on level surface for 1–3 hours.
Ability to walk intermittently on unlevel surface for less than 1 hour.
Ability to intermittently bend or climb for less than 1 hour.
Ability to occasionally twist, kneel, crouch, and crawl for 1–3 hours.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently in less than 1 hour.
Ability to push up to 50 pounds intermittently in less than 1 hour.
Ability to pull up to 50 pounds intermittently in less than 1 hour.
