Job Description The Shipping Manager will oversee the shipping and receiving operations, manage a team, ensure accurate and timely shipments, maintain inventory levels, develop policies, identify improvements, communicate across departments, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
Oversee the shipping and receiving operations of the company
Manage a team of shipping and receiving clerks
Ensure all shipments are processed accurately and on time
Maintain inventory levels
Develop and implement shipping policies and procedures
Identify areas for improvement in the shipping process
Communicate with other departments to ensure shipping needs are met
Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and requirements
Requirements
5+ years of experience in shipping and receiving
2+ years of experience in a management role
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of shipping regulations and requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shipping software
