A Produce Manager at Carlie C’s realizes that providing prompt and friendly customer service is priority #1. Being courteous and cooperative with both customer and coworker is a critical aspect of maximizing sales and building business for years to come. As a Produce Manager, you’ll handle everything from stocking the produce counters to slicing melons and everything in between. Preparing, serving, and cleaning are all part of the Carlie C’s Produce Department. How well you perform these tasks—and more—will determine your and the department’s success. Responsibilities
Work in refrigerated areas.
Account for sudden temperature changes.
Check produce quality, ensuring it’s properly rotated.
Prepare produce in a safe and orderly manner.
Keep the sales area and back room clean and free of clutter.
Order produce and purchase locally.
Unload trucks and place goods in the proper cooler.
Help customers in a friendly, courteous manner.
Observe Carlie C’s Uniform Standards and maintain a neat and clean appearance.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age, friendly, outgoing, and neat in appearance.
Must enjoy working with the public.
Previous Produce Management experience required.
Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, and handle up to 75 lbs.
Must be able to read shelf tags, labels, and signs.
Must be able to write invoices and maintain appropriate paperwork.
