Department Director or Designee
Position Summary Under general supervision of the Department Director or Designee, enforces municipal regulations, including those found in zoning, planning, business license, public nuisance, fire, building codes and ordinances; identifies, processes, and resolves complaints and violations. Maintains confidentiality of privileged information.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Two years’ experience in code enforcement, property management or assessment, or other related experience.
Must possess or have ability to obtain within first sixty days of employment and must maintain a valid New Mexico Class D driver’s license.
Must obtain within three years of employment and maintain certification as an International Code Council enforcement official.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Planning, or related field.
Experience reading blueprints and specifications.
