Addictions Counselor - Opioid Treatment Program (OTP)

The Addictions Counselor will be responsible for the following duties: Intake evaluations for new clients entering the program Identify individual recovery goals and develop individualized treatment plan, update on a regular basis, and identify progress and achievement with treatment goals Meet regular counseling requirements Responsible for accurate, timely and confidential documentation in client EMR Assist with obtaining all necessary consents Make all necessary referrals when services are needed beyond what the BRC provides Engage in case management services in an effort to provide comprehensive care and support Assist and support efforts to stabilize social, vocational, family, and emotional crisis. Assess and determine health education needs and facilitate learning opportunities Assess for need for additional psychiatric evaluation to determine if supplementary treatment, outside of OTP services, are needed. If so, make a referral and follow up by obtaining and reviewing results. Share results with the multidisciplinary team As a State‑Of‑the‑Art Healthcare Organization – we require all individuals who join Team Bowen to receive a flu shot and COVID vaccine to further protect our staff and the patients we serve. Exemptions are available, but not always guaranteed. As an agency that works with a vulnerable demographic of individuals, we require extensive pre‑employment background checks that aid in fulfilling our mission to protect our patients, keeping them safe from abuse and harm, by hiring quality and trustworthy staff. Education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in a mental health related field) Certificate or Professional License: LCAC, LAC, or CADAC II Preferred.
